This weekend I visited the Robert Frank’s exhibition of his work The Americans. I could relate to many of the underlining subjects he captured and I’m not so sure the America we live in today is any if at all different. I sit on the subway and look at all the sad faces just as the ones looking back at him on the Trolley in New Orleans.

“Robert Frank, Swiss, unobtrusive, nice, with that little camera that he raises and snaps with one hand he sucked a sad poem right out of America onto film, taking rank among the tragic poets of the world.” ~From the book Introduction by Jack Kerouac
