Every time I’m out and about in the city these days I’m looking for colors of spring, anything to erase the grey memories of winter. My beautiful friend Chelsa (who was also running in the marathon in Boston that day and was receiving her medal when the bombs went off) came by the studio to be my springtime muse. A palette of pinks, something soft and pretty, a reminder of how delicate we are like the flowers that bloom.
Here’s a step by step tutorial using MAKE cosmetics to get the look!
Step 1: Sweep Santa Fe all the way over the eyelid, but not quite to the brow.
Step 2: Follow with Romanov Pink just on the lid.
Step 3: Draw eyeliner in Alchemy all the way around the eyelash line, smudging slightly with a fingertip.
Extra tip – if you hold the pencil vertically, you’ll automatically achieve a smudgier line!
Step 4: Use a smokey eye brush and Aubergine shadow over the eyeliner, using the shadow to smudge as you go, all the way around.
Step 6: Sweeping coats of Defining Mascara
Step 7: Taking the Geisha blush, tap gently three times on your cheek – up and out at the furthest point out, once in the middle, and once in the apple of your cheek. Gently blend, going from the furthest point out in.
Step 8: Line lips with Sienna liner, and add lip gloss in Abalone.
Voila!

She is a beauty, glad she got to finish the Boston Marathon! What a crazy day that was.
I was wondering about you that day. Xx
Gorgeous look! I’m trying this over the weekend!
Lovely. 🙂 I really like using pink and rose shades of eye shadow, even though in theory it seems like it would look weird with my blue eyes.
