This might just be the coziest thing I’ve ever seen walk down the runways of New York Fashion Week. Ralph Lauren managed to perfectly balance the modern day woman that wants to look polished but comfortable, classic but current, with a life that is both urban and rural. I loved the creams, tans, chocolates, sage and gold which automatically puts you in the mood for autumn leaves and crackling fires. The first heart-stopping moments for me was a spectacular ivory lace gown with a victorian neck collar that reminded me of this old fashioned romance. Then, in total Americana glamour, he closed the show with the perfect golden goddess gown and I was once again, living in a Ralph Lauren world.
… before the show I went backstage to shoot some of the looks up close and personal which are mixed in below with my favorite runway moments!

Jamie Beck. Your talent is extraordinary!!!! Mr. Lauren chose the best when he chose you. What a class act you both are. Love all of these to infinity. OH that lace dress and hat. My, my.
Your backstage photos are simply stunning. I love this collection, especially the relaxed beauty look- middle parts, simple makeup. All of it works.
Great Pictures as always, but fur everywhere, what a shame!
But as Lauren’s program notes pointed out, the company “has a long-standing commitment to not use fur products. All fur-like pieces featured are constructed of shearling.” 🙂
I love the black dresses!!!

Ralph Lauren never disappoints!
I’m really loving the hair/makeup too, I love this natural dewy look with the soft wavy tresses! <3
Gorgeous collection, I love every single piece!
Love the brown/natural color patterns. A little safari meets NYC circa 1936.
