Hollywood Glamour

I know when you think of Hollywood you think of the silver screen, but on my most recent trip to LA for Oscars weekend, it was more of a golden moment. And who is Hollywood’s golden girl? Marilyn Monroe, of course.

Thanks to LoveGold we had the privilege of accessing Fred Leighton’s vintage collection of gold jewelry so we could be inspired by glamour through the ages. These one of a kind vintage pieces have been worn by Hollywood’s royalty such as Nicole Kidman, Tilda Swinton, and Amy Adams. Styled by Kelly Framel with the help of our beautiful muse, model and actress Estella Warren, we strived to recreate the feminine glamour and playfulness that is so classically Marilyn, so captivatingly Hollywood and made of gold.

How to Marry a Millionaire

The Daily Style Icon: Marilyn Monroe

It’s Valentine’s Day and what a better way to say love than with some Va-Va-Voom & wiggle to your walk! Today’s Marilyn inspired look is tight, pushed up, pulled in and all kinds of giggly.

On today’s agenda: Breakfast at Bergdorf’s, Carolina Herrera Show, and a presentation at The Plaza.

It’s New York Fashion Week, you can’t just wear any old thing! I’m taking inspiration for my daily outfits to the tents from the women who have done it so well before us. We all have a right to look like a fashion icon, right?

About Thrift-ing: Ever since I was a little girl my Grandmother and I have been hitting the thrift stores. Even when I travel home to Texas now we go to 1/2 price Wednesday at the Goodwill and I always find treasures for just a few bucks. Going to thrift stores for me is one of the most fun ways to be creative with fashion. How can I wear it? How can I alter it? How can I make this skirt for $3 look like a million?…

The Beauty of RED~

I’ve lived by a man’s code designed to fit a man’s world, yet at the same time I never forget that a woman’s first job is to choose the right shade of lipstick. ~Carole Lombard
