Friday marks the official first day of spring and I couldn’t be more beside myself with joy. It’s a funny thing living in New York. By the time end of February rolls around people have had it with winter. I personally will have had it before the ball will have even dropped on New Year’s Eve!
I look forward to the charming cherry blossoms in Central Park, stopping by the Van Leeuwen truck in Soho, and wearing classic trench coats which immediately has me channeling Audrey Hepburn.
GAP asked us to bring to life our idea of spring into a Cinemagraph for styld.by for which of course, the first thing that comes to mind is that inevitable spring moment of getting caught in the rain…
For this look, we styled the model in the GAP tape yarn pullover in navy with a belted navy GAP trench, black leather skirt with black patent leather oxfords. I felt that the shorter crop of the GAP pullover kept it young and fresh by still being appropriate for the early spring weather. Obviously, something I always go to in the spring is a classic trench coat which I felt GAP updated this spring by making it in Navy which is always a classic and paired with black makes it ever so French chic, and who doesn’t want to be “french chic”?!

So ready for spring! And this post has me so tempted to buy a trench coat now to prepare for it!
I’m loving all the cinemagraphs you have been doing lately! Though it might seem impossible, I think you could be getting even better at doing them 🙂
